Open Arms - Wonder Woman Comics
This was my first yuletide. I should have remembered that optional details were optional, but I did not want to "ruin" yuletide for my person (who defaulted and never commented). When I got the prompt, I was entirely confused. It included the description "batman whomp".
I wrote about Wonder Woman beating up alien telepathic, omnipresent, giant flying stingrays, instead. It was a good growing experience!

A Queen's Lament - Fairy Tales and Related Fandoms
This is seriously one of my favorite pieces I have ever written, and even though it is part of a fandom exchange, it is entirely original. I wrote it in two hours when the prompt hit up pitchhit list. It has some flaws (you can see the attempts of shoving in Sleeping Beauty toward the end), but I love it. It really made firm to me that if left to my own devices and a short period of time, I will write a fucking awesome fairy tale. Also, tough ass ladies.

A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action - Aliens
I laughed so hard when I got my prompt because I got [Bad username or unknown identity: silveraspen"], a friend of mine for many years, for those that do not also know her. She is my Aliens buddy. :D
So, this had to be good. Vasquez and Ripley, talking and just being fucking awesome. This fic was a lot of fun to write, and I am proud of it still. I can't think of a thing I'd change!
Wither have you wandered? - Tempest - Shakespeare

Disney Princesses, ASSEMBLE! - Disney Princesses Superheroes
This was the popular yuletide request that year! So, I wrote a treat with Mulan and a lightsaber. HOW COULD I NOT?! And then, two years later, Disney bought Star Wars. Somehow, I won.

Let's Do the Timewarp Again (We Make That, Too) - Better Off Ted
I let my id go crazy with this one. It was super long, and I wrote it almost entirely in one sitting about a day before the due date. IT. WAS. SO. MUCH. FUN. Sadly, a lot of the images no longer work, but I still find the whole thing HILARIOUS. I tried to write a real finale for the show, since it ended too soon. But, still, SO MUCH FUUUUUUN.
Cold Today, a Rose Tomorrow - Better Off Ted
And then I wrote a treat for the same person since she really wanted Ted/Veronica, and I didn't manage it in the big fic. Adorable children, razor back fawns, and bazookas. Obviously, the best bedtime story ever!
Wow, I didn't write three fics this year. SHOCKING.
I do so love Yuletide. It is always a lot of fun to stretch my writing wings and try for something different. I think my best writing comes out making gifts for other people.
Now, to actually finish my yuletide for this year!! And maybe get the treat done, too. Writing adventures, here I come!
